The June 2026 State of Play had some serious hype built around it…but let’s be honest - don’t fans do this every time with EVERY SOP anyway? There were some cool deep dives and some surprises, and while I won’t walk you through every game shown and/or announced, I am going to share some of the gems and announcements I care about - enjoy!
Wolverine (Launching sep 15th 2026)
A very welcomed moment was the Wolverine gameplay deep dive. No words can do it justice so yeah…go and enjoy the video. Oh yeah, and pre-orders are now available! What are you waiting for Bub??
tomb raider legacy of atlantis (launching feb 12th 2027)
The game looked really good and made me miss Uncharted a lot! Not a 2026 release but you might like that because this Fall is going to be insane with releases!
Phantom Blade 0 (full trailer & Pre-orders Summer 2026)
While we got some cinematics and some minor gameplay, this was mainly a teaser to let fans know this summer will be packed with news for the game. A dedicated showcase + pre-orders open + and more gameplay coming - hang tight!
onimusha way of the sword (launching sep 25th 2026)
Capcom has been on an absolute heater recently, and it doesn’t look like they are going to miss anytime soon. Onimusha will launch later this year, and it’s shaping up to be a certified banger. Enjoy the gameplay. Oh yeah...DEMO is out now also - go download it!
silent hill townfall (launching sep 24th 2026)
We finally got the release date for Silent Hill Townfall! It also looks every bit terrifying as we were hoping for in 1st person. Pre-orders are open now!
Ill (launching in 2027)
We got a story trailer from a game I have been following for a few years now called ILL. It looks grotesque, gruesome, and sooo next-gen and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Sadly, we got a very loose date of 2027 on this one but at least we got something!
Control Resonant (Launching sep 24th 2026)
We’ve been getting steady drip feeds from Remedy about Control Resonant, and this time they brought a story trailer, a launch date, and news that pre-orders are now open!
God of War Laufey (In development)
Do you like 20 minute gameplay trailers? Oh ok, good! To close the show out, Sony surprised us all with a brand new entry from Santa Monica Studios for the God Of War Franchise. It looks absolutely gorgeous and the combat looks so engaging and dynamic - you can tell they’ve been cooking. Regardless, no words can convey the true aura of the gameplay, so take a look and keep your eyes on this in for the future.
