Insomniac just pulled a fast one this morning. No long showcase. No drawn-out marketing build-up. Just a simple post and video:
“Marvel’s Wolverine launches September 15, 2026.”
That’s it.
After months of speculation and fans expecting it to show up at the recent State of Play only to be left hanging, Insomniac decided to skip the theatrics and drop the date outright. And honestly? I respect it.
Wolverine has been one of the most mysterious PlayStation projects since it was first teased at The Game Awards back in 2021. Yes, we got some gameplay and details but lets be honest we are thirsty for more bub.
Now we have a concrete date: September 15, 2026.
If there’s one studio that’s earned the benefit of the doubt, it’s Insomniac. Between Spider-Man and what we’ve already seen from Wolverine’s tone, expectations are sky high.
Now the real question is simple: when do we see more gameplay and combat details? Because September 2026 suddenly doesn’t feel that far away!
